Corporate Social Responsibility is at the heart of everything we do. We consider our positive impact on people and the planet, and encourage colleagues and clients to work in an environmentally friendly way.
We believe we have a responsibility to make life better for our people, our customers, the local community and our planet. We want our company to be open, accountable and pleasant to work with.
We are taking active steps to reduce our negative environmental impacts and promote sustainability through our work. We will encourage our clients and those we work with to do the same. We consider this to be a journey and a learning process, that is far from perfect, but we hope to keep improving and making things better.
Ways that we look to work and deliver projects in a sustainable way:
- We recycle materials such as glass and cans through our local council’s scheme, and use a specialised service provider for recycling cardboard, paper, printer and toner cartridges.
- We prioritise the use of recycled and environmentally friendly office supplies, such as recycled paper and non-toxic inks, as well as sustainable products like organic and Fairtrade coffee and fruit.
- We select our suppliers based on their environmental credentials and commitment to sustainability.
- We minimise the use of single-use plastics and disposable items, avoiding things like sugar sachets and individual milk pots.
- We turn off lights, equipment, and heating whenever they are not in use to conserve energy.
- We power our office with renewable electricity.
- We conserve energy and water in daily routines, such as boiling only the necessary amount of water in kettles.
- We limit travel by supporting remote work, offering online meetings and workshops, and using digital collaboration tools whenever suitable.
- We conduct full usability testing for both desktop and mobile through screen sharing tools.
- We print documents only when absolutely necessary.
- Our website is hosted on servers powered by renewable energy.
- We store our data on Google Cloud, which offsets its energy usage with 100% renewable energy.
- We encourage staff to reduce their digital footprint by sending fewer emails, using collaboration platforms, deleting unnecessary data, and extending the life of digital devices.
- We support and empower colleagues who participate in community outreach and sustainability projects, and we welcome new ideas and initiatives that contribute to environmental responsibility.
